From your birth data we derive the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch of the year, month, day and hour pillars, then tally the five elements. This step is pure, reproducible calendrical calculation.
ZiWei Dou Shu casts the twelve palaces, the brightness of the main stars and the four transformations from your birth date and time — the skeleton of the chart.

- An angular unit; 1 arcminute = 1/60°. A ±1 arcminute error is far smaller than the apparent width of a full moon — more than enough to place a sign.

The 'planetary positions' used by Western astrology and Human Design are astronomical facts that can be observed and verified; but the interpretation of astrology and BaZi is a metaphysical and cultural tradition, not modern scientific proof.
