How an astrocartography map is drawn: 4 steps

Calculate the sky at your birth: the positions of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn from your birth time and place.

Draw four kinds of line: where each body was overhead (MC) or underfoot (IC), and the curves where it was rising (ASC) or setting (DSC) — 28 lines in all.

Check the cities: each of 28 popular cities within 5° of a line counts as “on” it.

Frequently asked questions
Why is birth time required for astrocartography?
The Earth turns 15° an hour, so a one-hour difference moves every line about 15° of longitude on the map — cities would fall on completely different lines.
My city isn't one of the 28. What then?
The map shows every line in full, so you can see how close any city is to a line. The written reading covers 28 popular cities across Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, mainland China, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, Australia, North America, Europe, Dubai and Bali.
Should I avoid cities on my Saturn or Mars lines?
No. Saturn lines are often read as good for steady, focused work and Mars lines for pushing hard — they simply call for more care with pressure and friction. The map is a reference, not a list of places to avoid.
How much is an astrocartography reading?
