Human Design Chart: Your Type, Strategy and Inner Authority

Human Design is a self-knowledge system that maps the planetary positions at your birth and about 88 days earlier (when the Sun was 88° back) onto 64 gates and 9 energy centers to describe your type, strategy, inner authority and profile.

The Qi Yi Crystal reading room calculates 13 bodies at both moments from an astronomical ephemeris and looks up gates, channels and centers by the standard rules — no AI is involved in the chart itself. You get a bodygraph, then an AI reading in plain English.

How a Human Design chart is calculated: 4 steps

1
Find two moments: “Personality” is the moment you were born; “Design” is the moment the Sun was exactly 88° earlier (roughly 88 days before birth).
2
Calculate positions: the ecliptic longitude of the Sun, Earth, Moon, the true North and South Nodes and Mercury through Pluto — 13 points at each moment, 26 activations in all.
3
Map gates and centers: each position falls in one of 64 gates; when both ends of a channel are activated it defines the centers it connects. Which centers are defined and how they connect determines your type and inner authority.
4
Read it in plain English: the AI explains your type, how you make decisions and your profile, then highlights one or two channels and open centers.

The five Human Design types

Type	How it is defined	Strategy
Generator	Sacral center defined	Wait to respond: commit when something that comes to you feels right
Manifesting Generator	Sacral defined and a motor connected to the Throat	Wait to respond, and inform others before acting
Manifestor	Sacral undefined, a motor connected to the Throat	Inform: let the people affected know before you start
Projector	Sacral undefined, no motor connected to the Throat	Wait for the invitation: you have most influence when recognised and invited
Reflector	All nine centers open	Wait a lunar cycle (about 28 days) before big decisions

Is it accurate? Our honest take

The planetary positions are astronomical calculation, and gates, channels and type follow fixed lookup rules — the same birth data always gives the same chart. What the types mean comes from the Human Design system itself; use it as a lens for self-understanding.

How every reading is calculated is published onHow our readings work. All readings are AI-computed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a Human Design chart without my birth time?

No. Each line in a gate is under one degree wide and the Moon moves more than half a degree an hour, so a wrong time can give a wrong chart. Birth time is required — check your birth certificate or ask family; the more exact, the better.

How is Human Design different from astrology or BaZi?

Human Design uses the same astronomical positions as astrology but maps them to the I Ching's 64 hexagrams and energy centers, focusing on how you make decisions and interact. BaZi (Chinese Four Pillars) looks at the balance of the five elements. They can be read side by side.

How much is a Human Design reading?

A Human Design reading in our reading room is 99 points (1 point = NT$1), including the bodygraph and the AI reading.

Is Human Design accurate?

The planetary positions can be calculated and checked; the meaning of types and strategies is the system's own interpretation and is not scientifically proven. Many people use it as a way to understand their decision-making habits.

Is a human doing the chart?

No. Charts and calculations are done by code following fixed rules, and the reading is written by AI. There is no human reader. How each reading is calculated is published on our “How our readings work” page.
